Why I Built the Biba40

I couldn’t find the keyboard I wanted: a Planck-style 40% ortholinear board that was split, wireless, and customizable, so I built one. The Biba40 is the result of many prototypes, adjustments, tweaks, and mockups. Each revision brought it closer to the compact, flexible keyboard I had been looking for from the start. I make Biba40s one at at time, but I’m happy to offer them to anyone else looking for a similar setup.

Where I make them

Every Biba40 passes through this spot, my kitchen table. I print the cases, solder the boards, load the firmware, put everything together and make sure it works before I box it up. Always made to order.
